An introduction to UNE Life 

At UNE Life, we’re dedicated to enhancing your experience at UNE through a wide range of services designed with students at the heart of everything we do. Our focus is on making your time at UNE memorable, supported, and fulfilling. While academic life is managed by the university, we provide the essential services and experiences that make university life more rewarding.

Our services include the following:

  • SportUNE: Stay active and healthy with our inclusive sports programs and fitness facilities, competitions and UNE Healthy Campus activations.
  • Café Life and Cafe 77: Grab a coffee, enjoy a bite to eat, or catch up with mates at our vibrant campus cafés.
  • The Bistro: Study, eat and relax at The Bistro, located on the Armidale campus across from Cafe Life.
  • The Shop: Your one-stop shop on campus and online for uni texts, eBooks, stationery, snacks, merchandise – you can even get your post directed here. We look after almost everything you need to make your student life easier and more fun.
  • Clubs & Societies: Join over 50 student-run groups  or start your own and build your community.
  • UNE Life Safety & Security: Your safety and peace of mind are our priority. Our team is available 24/7 on campus and also runs the UNE Safety Shuttle during trimester and intensive periods to ensure you get where you need to go safely

  • UNE Life Events & Catering: This is the team behind the scenes, creating meaningful events for students, staff, and the community. From Clubs events to student award ceremonies, this team is always at the heart of your UNE experience, making sure each occasion is special
  • Graduation Services: In collaboration with the university, we manage your big day and celebrate your achievements alongside you. From the ceremony to all the little details, we’re here to make it unforgettable.
  • TuneFM: UNE’s student-run radio station, connecting campus life through music, science reporting, and hands-on media experience for UNE students.
  • Advocacy & Welfare:Free, independent support for UNE students from orientation to graduation, offering guidance and assistance with academic issues.
  • Sleek Hairdressing: On-campus salon with 30+ years of expertise, providing affordable, professional haircare and student discounts.
  • UNE Life Healthcare Centre: Accessible healthcare for students, staff, and the community, supporting physical and mental wellbeing.

Free Student Transport to and from UNE

The UNE Safety Shuttle provides free transport for students between UNE and the town. Available during Trimester, and Intensive periods, this service ensures you can get to and from campus safely.

  • Track the Shuttle: Download the UNE Safe app to track the shuttle in real-time. Simply head to “UNE Safety Shuttle” on the app.
  • Accessing the Shuttle: Show your valid student ID card. to board.

Accessibility

Our Armidale campus has some hilly areas between buildings. If navigating these slopes is challenging for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your unit coordinator for support.
