Conveniently located across from UNE Life HQ, our UNE Life Events & Catering handles event planning, management, and catering for everything from small, intimate gatherings and student events to larger occasions like weddings and graduation. This team is behind most of the events you’ll attend on campus.
Our services aren’t limited to the UNE community, we’re proud to partner with the broader Armidale and New England region, bringing great moments to life for locals and organisations alike.
Our events and catering team also manage a range of venues on campus, including The Bistro, Cafe Life, and Cafe 77.

Free and discounted meal opportunities
Throughout the year, UNE Life hosts a number of events where students can enjoy free or discounted meals as part of our commitment to supporting students. Keep an eye on our Facebook events as well as the UNE Events calendar to stay in the loop and make the most of these opportunities. Don’t miss out!
Our venues
Cafe Life
Open weekdays, Cafe Life serves hot food, coffee, cold drinks, and grab-and-go snacks, plus it offers student discounts and meal deals! Relax inside or soak up the sun in the northern courtyard, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, whether solo or with friends. You can also hire it as a venue through our events team.

The Bistro
Located above The Shop with views of the Ingrid Moses Courtyard, The Bistro is the perfect place to relax, study, or catch up with friends over food and drinks. Plus, UNE students get a discount! It’s also a popular venue for student, club, and community events and can be hired through our Events & Catering team.

Hangout: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Lunch: Wednesday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Cafe 77
A smaller version of Cafe Life, located in the Natural History Museum, Cafe 77 serves hot beverages, snacks, and takeaway options, with student discounts, of course! Open weekdays, it’s the perfect spot for a quick refreshment on the go or while checking out the Natural History collection.
Opening hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
SportUNE Cafe
Conveniently located just inside SportUNE, you’ll find a small café with simple, quality essentials. Grab a quick drink while watching the action on the fields or courts, refuel after a gym session, or settle in for a catch-up with friends.
UNE students get a discount – just show your student ID at the counter.

The Shop
The Shop isn’t just your on-campus post office or the spot for textbooks, ebooks, course gear, secondhand books, grad gowns, and UNE merch. It’s also your go-to for all your snack and convenience essentials!
Grab chips, lollies, cold drinks, icy poles, pot noodles, and more to fuel your study sessions or just treat yourself. Plus, if you haven’t caught on yet, students get a 10% discount.
Located in the Ingrid Moses Courtyard, just beneath The Bistro, it’s the perfect spot to visit before you head off to study in the library, go back to the office, or to pick up a few things before heading home.

Vending machines
Conveniently located across campus, UNE Life vending machines are stocked with a variety of drinks, snacks, and treats to keep you fuelled throughout the day. Look for the UNE Life logo to spot our machines—this way you know what you spend is going back into the student experience on campus.
