And remember, the number 1 ground rule is to just be lovely.

The most important thing is to be happy, helpful, welcoming, and inclusive.

1. Be lovely – our graduands/graduates have been waiting and working towards this for a very long time and for many people, this will be their first time to campus. The most important thing is to be happy, helpful, welcoming, and inclusive
2. All attendees MUST register as soon as possible and this should be the first thing you confirm (ie. Hi! Welcome to UNE, are you graduating today? Have you registered at the registration tent yet?)
3. If you don’t know the answer to something, never say “I’m not sure, sorry”. Be helpful, and pass them on to the registration area to find an answer, “the team at registration will be able to give you the most up-to-date information on that and would be happy to help you further”.
4. Take Photos! It’s a special day and our graduates and graduands want photos with their families and friends. It never hurts to offer to snap a few photos as people move around graduation.
