Jess is an experienced professional with deep knowledge of corporate and financial communications, marketing, media relations, and stakeholder engagement, complemented by a strong background in Banking & Financial Services, Agribusiness, and Consulting.
Her career spans almost two decades, where Jess has held positions with Austrade (Paris), Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Group, Heriot-Watt University, and most recently the Indigenous Land & Sea Corporation. She holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and undertook her thesis study on organisational culture in banking, working with 12 global banks, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, and other financial institutions in London. Within these roles, she has regularly contributed to various media outlets including the Financial Times, Fairfax Agricultural Media publications, and OUTBACK Magazine.
She is currently a non-executive director of Beef Australia and Fleece to Fashion, as well as a member of the Armidale Regional Council’s Regional Growth & Place Activation Advisory Committee and a director of a family-run sheep and beef enterprise in the New England.
